Several days ago, a story about Miroslav Raduljica rejecting EuroLeague club offers and instead deciding to go on a long road trip surfaced. The player now decided to respond to it.

Guitarist Zika Jelic announced that Raduljica will be driving his camper from one USA end to the other on the legendary Route 66 as a part of the crew in September. Mozzart Sport contacted the player himself to provide a comment about the statement.

"I have stated before that when I finish my career, I will go on Route 66 by motorbike. The idea of Zika Jelix and Bosko Cukic organizing the trip certainly came as something I would do. The only question is, will it be during my break? If they go during my season, like now or in the spring, I certainly won't be able to go," the player explained.

"If it happens during my vacation, of course, that's my wish and I don't see anything wrong with that. That time will definitely happen," he continued. "I'm sure I won't put him before my career, which isn't over yet."

Most basketball fans interpreted the news as the end of Raduljica's career. He last played for Goyang Carrot Jumpers in South Korea but was released in December, 2021.

"It bothered me that a sensation was being created," Raduljica told Mozzart Sport. "Why didn't the media that wrote that [story] remember to come and film me training or to interview me about the offers I have, whether I accept or not? They take it out of context [the words] of one of the greatest legends of music in our region."

"His words are with the best of intentions because he is also happy, as I am if that idea comes true that we go together. I respect Zika as a friend and musician and I can't hold anything against him, because he didn't mean anything bad," the center explained.

Raduljica was reported to have turned down offers to play from Partizan NIS Belgrade and Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade to pursue his lifelong dream. The player denies the fact and claims that he wouldn't behave in such a way.

"Friends told me that I turned down Partizan and Zvezda in order to go on a trip. I consider every offer I get very carefully and I certainly wouldn't put personal satisfaction before such offers while I'm still an active player," he explained. "Especially from EuroLeague clubs. I'm aware that many consider me different [now] but I would never do that."

"I train every day, more than ever," the center told. "I've never been in better shape. Maybe because of age and experience, the fact that I am much more mature, more ready for some new challenges. I don't remember training this much even when I was 20 years old. I think I'm in better shape now than when I was much younger."

Raduljica is still a free agent and is now currently waiting for offers to come.

"I'm waiting for something to appear. I am not picky nor is it about the amount of the contract. I am waiting for the right opportunity that will be worthy of my age, experience, and something I want in life," he concluded.
