It's due to the lack of training with the players, who competed for their respective national teams in FIBA competitions.
"We have seen very little of all the players together. They are very eager, but it is a mystery in what situation we are in. Those, who are coming from EuroBasket are in good shape, but as a whole, it will cost us. I am sure [about that]," Jasikevicus affirmed to the club's media.
Cory Higgins, Alex Abrines, Oriol Pauli, Oscar da Silva, Kyle Kuric, and Sergi Martinez started the pre-season on August 28.
However, Nicolas Laprovittola, Nikola Kalinic, Jan Vesely, Sertac Sanli, Rokas Jokubaitis, Mike Tobey, and Tomas Satoransky joined the team last Thursday and Friday.
For his part, Nikola Mirotic is still recovering from an Achilles tendon injury and is not available.
"Everyone gets along very well, players are happy to be here. This is a marathon, we have to think about the future. We all had enough of the holidays and we are very motivated," said Barca's coach.
