Tornike Shengelia started to work out with the aim to recover from his shoulder injury as soon as possible.

The experienced power forward injured his shoulder before the EuroBasket 2022 in FIBA World Cup 2023 qualification game against the Netherlands.
It is believed that Shengelia will miss approximately two months of action.
Recently the forward has signed a contract extension with Virtus. The player will stay in Italy for two more seasons with an option to extend the deal for one more year.
Virtus uploaded photos of Shengelia picking up the pace in his exercises, with the aim of being ready as soon as possible.
After joining Virtus in the midseason, Shengelia became the EuroCup champions together with the club, which earned them a spot in the upcoming EuroLeague season.
Last season, 30-year-old Shengelia averaged 6.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists for 9.5 PIR in the EuroCup competition.
In the Italian Lega A, the Georgian forward averaged 12.8 points, 5.2 points, and 2.7 assists for 14.1 PIR.
