Kevin Pangos officially joined EA7 Emporio Armani Milan on a two-year deal back at the end of July. Almost two months later, he was presented to the club fans, together with other team newbies of Stefano Tonut, Johannes Voigtmann, and Deshaun Thomas.

"I found Milan a fantastic organization. Everyone here is super motivated and kind, they put you in a position to give your best. I believe there are conditions to achieve something special.

I was looking for the best solution for my career, and I had moments of uncertainty about what was happening with CSKA Moscow. Fortunately, things went the right way," Pangos said in the beginning.

The 29-year-old Canadian is happy to reunite with his friends in the Italian fashion capital.

"It's amazing how our paths have brought us together. Naz [Mitrou-Long], Billy [Baron], and Brandon [Davies] are good guys but to me, they are also great friends. This will definitely help us on the court," Pangos assured.

He also talked about his leadership on the floor during the presentation. Pangos has dominated overseas since turning pro in 2015, playing professionally for Gran Canaria (Spain), Zalgiris Kaunas (Lithuania), FC Barcelona (Spain), and Zenit Saint Petersburg (Russia).

The point guard averaged a career-high 13.5 points and 6.6 assists with Zenit in 2020-21. He earned All-EuroLeague First Team honors and led his team to its first-ever playoff berth at that time.

"I think it [leader's reputation] depends on my parents. My father has been a coach for many years and from a very young age, I had the opportunity to meet numerous people in the basketball world to learn from."

Moreover, Pangos spoke about what it takes to stand out in the EuroLeague.

"Chemistry is the most important thing. It's what supports you during difficult times. There are always ups and downs in a season. What matters is chemistry and resilience. In the end, the difference is minimal. A win can give you the playoffs spot or not, it can give you the Final Four or not," the Canadian said.

Last but not least, Kevin Pangos touched on the NBA. He fulfilled his NBA dream last season, joining the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, his stint was not successful.

Pangos appeared in 24 games for the Cavs, averaging 1.6 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. He had 8 points and 4 assists in his best NBA game against the Atlanta Hawks on New Year's Eve.

"I don't think it's a question of characteristics or personality. It's a question of having an opportunity and being able to use it. Sometimes it's not possible because the conditions in the team are not ideal. Then it is clear the talent in the NBA may seem unattainable, but I guarantee that there is talent in Europe too."
