Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain and will miss the start of training camp, the team announced.

The Thunder will meet on September 26th to begin the training camp. The first preseason match is scheduled on October 3rd against the Denver Nuggets, while the regular season will tip off on October 19th against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

SGA averaged 24.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in 56 games last season but missed the last 10 games of the year with a right ankle injury.

Earlier this offseason, Chet Holmgren injured his foot playing in a pro-am pick-up game in August and will have to miss the entire 2022-23 NBA season.
