EA7 Emporio Armani Milan presented four of their new players in a special event yesterday. Among Johannes Voigtmann, Naz Mitrou-Long, and Stefano Tonut, the biggest star of the presentation was Kevin Pangos.

The Canadian guard signed with the Italian team after lengthy negotiations with CSKA Moscow. Pangos had signed a contract with the club but did not even arrive in the country due to Russia's war in Ukraine and the sanctions that followed.
Talking about the process, the general manager of Olimpia Milan, Christos Stavropoulos provided a quick update about how it all played out.
"The negotiations were carried out with the two players as if they were free from constraints," he said about dealing with both Pangos and Voigtmann. "We then awaited the decisions of FIBA. In the case of Voigtmann, unfortunately, they were slower, and a faster decision system would obviously be needed. But we are happy to be able to start working together."
Together with Mitrou-Long, Pangos will now lead the renewed backcourt of the Italian team.
"Kevin Pangos has charisma and leadership," Stavropoulos told. "Kevin brings us energy and the ability to play at a very high level."
