Women's basketball legend Lauren Jackson, 41, made her official comeback from retirement today against France in the FIBA Women's World Cup in front of a home crowd.

In her first official game for Australia since 2013, Jackson recorded 3 points on a single triple, grabbed a rebound, and committed 4 fouls in 10 minutes of play.

With the three-pointer, Jackson became just the third person in FIBA Women's World Cup history to reach the 600-point mark. Only Hortencia de Fatima Marcari (930) and Janeth dos Santos Arcain (750) are ahead of her on the all-time list.

Jackson is a four-time Olympic medalist and a 2006 World champion. She is also a three-time WNBA scoring champion, two-time WNBA champion, and a three-time WNBA MVP.

The women's basketball legend has been named into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Her no. 15 shirt has since been retired by Seattle Storm.

Australia lost the first game of the tournament 57-70. Bec Allen was the top scorer on the home team with 16 points, while Gabby Williams led France to victory with 23 points in her account.

"It's a long tournament and we can rebound," Jackson said after the game.
