The franchise has punished the team's coach Udoka with a one-year suspension for a violation of team policies.
The punishment is a result of an intimate relationship with a female member of the organization, which was first believed to be consensual.
According to The Athletic, Udoka was later accused of making unwanted comments toward the woman, which led to the launch of the investigation by the franchise.
The Celtics' president of basketball operations was supportive of the women that work within the organization.
"We have a lot of talented women in our organization and yesterday I thought it was tough on them," said Stevens.
"No one can control the rumors on twitter and the rampant b-----*, but I think we have to ensure that we bear the responsibility, show them [women in the Celtics organization] that we support them," added Stevens.
Stevens also confirmed that Joe Mazzula will be the interim head coach of the Celtics, while he did not rule out the possibility of making an addition to the coaching staff.
