The Croatian forward announced that he will play for the Cedevita Junior team in his hometown of Zagreb. The club is coached by the Croatian national team's head coach Damir Mulaomerovic.

Simon is expected to both help on the court and play a leadership role for the young players on the roster.

"I decided on Cedevita Junior because I think the club is superbly organized, the club has a good atmosphere, and they work a lot with young players. I hope that with my experience I can help the young players to be as good as possible," the player said in an official statement. "It is certainly a club that has ambitions, I have ambitions too, even though I am 38 years old. I'm really looking forward to this cooperation and the season ahead."

Croatian media reports that Simon had received high-paying offers from Russian clubs. However, the heart stayed close to home and the forward will finish his career back where he started his long-tenured career - in Zagreb, Croatia.
