The 27-year-old swingman suffered an injury to his left leg during a preparation game against Olympiacos Piraeus.
Fortunately, as Dobric himself says, the injury is not as serious as first thought.
"Yesterday, I had an MRI. We evaluated the extent of the injury. It's not as bad as we thought at first. I entered the rehabilitation process with treatments. I hope it won't take long," Dobric said.
It's certain that Crvena Zvezda will begin the 2022-23 season without the Serbian player. Their EuroLeague start is next week. Zvezda will travel to Istanbul to meet the defending champs Anadolu Efes in Round 1 on October 7.
In combination with negative news, the Red Star have also some positivity ahead of the new campaign. Nemanja Nedovic has left his calf problems behind and finished the recovery process.
The star guard was dealing with a calf muscle rupture during FIBA EuroBasket 2022. He even flew to Madrid to speed up the recovery process.
"I have recovered, but I need to make a gradual entry into the training process. I had experience with a calf injury earlier. You can not be naive because it can get worse," Nedovic commented.
