The 33-year-old forward picked up a hamstring injury in FIBA EuroBasket 2022. Hungary finished the group stage winless (0-5), while Hanga averaged 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 13.0 EFF in just two games.
He missed duels against Slovenia, Lithuania, and Germany due to a leg setback which also pushed him out of the rotation last weekend. Hanga tried to come back to the basketball floor in the Spanish Supercup semifinal but lasted just 3 minutes and 20 seconds.
Hanga is set to miss the first games of the new season. Real start the new ACB League campaign on Wednesday (September 28), while their EuroLeague opener is next week, on October 6.
Nigel Williams-Goss and Carlos Alocen are other missing pieces to the Real Madrid puzzle.
