Golden State Warriors are starting their NBA title defense in Tokyo. Steve Kerr's squad prepares to face off in two pre-season games against the Washington Wizards on Friday and Saturday in Japan.

GSW's star duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were put to the first Japanese test on Thursday when the Splash Brothers took on sumo wrestling legend Hakuho Sho, who owns five world records in the sport.

As you would expect, both of the sharpshooters could not even move their opponent from his place. Basketball stars shook their heads in disbelief and paid respect.

Sumo legend was not the only famous person to meet the reigning NBA champs.

K-Pop star Suga from BTS stopped by Golden State's practice in Tokyo, meeting several members of the team, including Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala.

Curry presented Suga with a signed jersey and the duo took a selfie together.

On the other side, Rui Hachimura was at the epicenter of attention, returning to his homeland.

A huge crowd of local journalists gathered to interview the 24-year-old player ahead of the Warriors-Wizards exhibition games.

For his part, Kyle Kuzma told reporters he is going to shop in Tokyo.
