"I'm one of the most unselfish players probably that this league has ever seen," he claimed Thursday.
"I was in a situation in Brooklyn where I had KD [Kevin Durant] and Kyrie [Irving], they didn't need me to be a 30 points scorer. Basically, I was a facilitator and was finding ways to impact the game, which I am fine with that as well," Harden added.
76ers star won three straight scoring titles with the Houston Rockets from 2017-20, but he is set to take a backseat next to Joel Emiid in Philadelphia.
"Joel [Embiid] should have won the MVP last year, he was playing extremely well. You can't come in here expecting to average 30 points, so again, finding ways to impact the game," Harden said of the 76ers.
In 21 appearances with the Sixers last season, after he got traded from the Brooklyn Nets, Harden averaged a near triple-double with 21.0 points, 10.5 assists, and 7.1 rebounds.
