Famous NBA commentator Mike Breen is dealing with a personal tragedy this week.

The broadcaster's home in Long Island has been completely destroyed by fire, TMZ reports. The cause and source of the blaze are currently under investigation.

The incident happened on Sunday night at approximately 4:03 AM when an automatic fire alarm system was triggered. When the firefighters arrived, they "encountered a fully involved house fire", Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department reports.

There was no loss of life during the event, including pets.

Breen is a play-by-play commentator for ABC and has been a regular NBA Finals voice since 2006. He is most famous for his phrase 'Bang!' he shouts after important shots during games. It is Breen's 30th year in broadcasting. He also has announced Olympic Games, NFL matches, and other sporting events.

Perhaps, the most famous Breen's call is Ray Allen's game-tying three-pointer during Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs.
