"We believe that everything that is a dynamic game is good for us with the versatility of our players," he explained. "We want to be a dynamic, aggressive team that lets its fans know we are going to give our all."
The team lost its leader Simone Fontecchio during the offseason. Trying to combat the loss, Baskonia signed many new faces in various positions. Among them are two EuroLeague newcomers in Markus Howard and Daulton Hommes.
"They are two very good guys and they really want to take on the world," Penarroya commented about the duo. "We have versatility in several positions and we are going to try to make it a virtue."
Baskonia will start their season in the Spanish Liga Endesa with a battle against Unicaja Malaga. Next week, the team travels to face another local rival in the EuroLeague - Penarroya's former club, Valencia Basket.
However, the coach doesn't see a difference between any of the matchups.
"It is just as important to play the games against Fenerbache as against Obradoiro or Manresa, with all due respect," he told.
