"I'm dreaming". Hugo Gonzalez could not sum up better his feelings after making his debut in the ACB League this Sunday.

The 16-year-old youngster played his first minutes with Real Madrid against Obradoiro CAB, scoring 4 points. A dream come true since he signed with the Blancos back in 2017.

He became the 4th youngest player to debut in the Spanish League with Madrid just behind Luka Doncic, Juan Nunez, and Usman Garuba.

When Hugo Gonzalez was born in 2006, Instagram did not exist and Dejan Bodiroga was still playing.

Gonzalez is one of the best Spanish prospects. Alongside big man Aday Mara, he took part in the U17 National Team that faced the United States this summer. The next big Spanish generation.

The NBA Draft specialist Jonathan Givony wrote this about Gonzalez after the FIBA U17 World Cup at Draft Express.

"Gonzalez did merit consideration as the best non-U.S. prospect at the event. He has an exceptional physical profile for a 16-year-old, with excellent size for a 7-foot wing, long arms, and impressive explosiveness. Best of all, he doesn't appear to be a finished prospect.

Given the fact that he is still three years away from NBA draft eligibility, it is premature to determine precisely what Gonzalez's potential is but it would be very surprising if he does not emerge as one of the top international players in his class."

Real Madrid is an unlimited factory of talent. The list of young players who have debuted with the senior team in the last decade is endless. From Willy Hernangomez to Luka Doncic, including Dino Radoncic, Matteo Spagnolo, and Juan Nunez among others.

The last one (and probably not least) to make his debut was Hugo Gonzalez this Sunday. Do not forget his name.
