Green escalated the conflict and forcefully struck the guard, per Shams Charania of The Athletic report.

The Warriors are seriously considering disciplinary action toward Green.

Green and Poole were separated swiftly. The players came chest-to-chest, with both players pushing and shoving each other prior to Green’s escalation of the physical altercation, said The Athletic sources.

Charania noted that Poole and Green are known to "regularly get into verbal arguments," but this time it was not just a verbal conflict.

The Warriors stopped the practice and tried to calm things down, but Green is likely to get disciplined internally.

Both Green and Poole are eligible to sign a contract extension with the Warriors before the October 17 deadline.

Poole played for the Warriors since 2019 when he got drafted number 29th overall by the franchise. Meanwhile, Green, who also has played only for the Warriors in the NBA, joined the team in 2012 and has won 4 NBA championships since.
