The basketball world took notice of the 18-year-old French talent Victor Wembanyama after his duel against another potential number 1 NBA draft pick in the 2023 Scoot Henderson.

Henderson's G-League Ignite took the win (122-115) against Wembanyama's Metropolitans 92 but it was all about the personal performances as the French center finished with 37 points, while Ignite's guard had 29.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, took notice of Wembanyama as well and shared his thoughts about the French talent before a preseason game against the Phoenix Suns.

"Everybody's been a unicorn over the last few years, but he's [Wembanyama] more like an alien. No one has ever seen anyone as tall as he is but as fluid and as graceful as he is on the floor," said James.

"I mean at 7'4 or 7'5 or 7'3, or whatever the case might be. His ability to put the ball on the floor, shoot step back jumpers out of the post, step back threes, catch and shoot threes, block shots," added James.

James had no questions about Wembanyama's talent and thinks only injuries could stop him from being a great player.

"He's for sure a generational talent and hopefully he continues to stay healthy as it's most important for him personally," said the Lakers forward.

James also liked that Wembanyama seems to enjoy the game of basketball.

"You can tell he's loving the game, he was smiling a lot last night during the game. He's a big-time player," said James.

James also talked about the main difference when he was growing up and what today's young talents have to deal with.

"I didn't have social media. I can't imagine what my life would've been different. I am happy I didn't have social media," said the 4-time NBA champion.

"I am happy I am from a small town in Akron, Ohio. It definitely just kept me in bunker, kept me locked in with a task at hand as a 15, 16, 17, 18-year-old kid, and made me locked in," James concluded.
