Despite some obvious frustration, the multilingual power-forward looked up when BasketNews approached him to talk about the game.

Da Silva made a quick summary of the Blaugranas defeat against Olympiacos.

"We did not follow the game plan very well," Da Silva admitted. "We made some turnovers on offense, we were not physical enough defensively, and we let them make open looks. We came back in the second half, but we made two or three mistakes in a row, and they went on a run again."

FC Barcelona have lost three of the first five official games of the season. With six newcomers in the team, this may be part of a long process.

"Obviously, we need to know each other better, but it can't be an excuse. We brought players with a lot of experience at this level. We have to hurry up in terms of understanding the system. Energy and physicality are not related to the system," said Da Silva.

The 24-year-old is in his second year as a professional, making a step forward this summer by signing with Barca until 2025. BasketNews asked him about the first weeks in Catalan city.

"I feel good, but obviously frustrated because we have lost two games at the beginning of the season. I'm enjoying it, and I'm learning a lot every single day. Saras is challenging me to think about the game a bit more and know what's going on in each moment."

Da Silva shared his opinion about the main differences between ALBA Berlin and FC Barcelona's philosophies.

"I could say here it's more tactical. Aito's style was with more freedom in the offense. I would say it's similar on defense. I need to pay a lot more attention to detail here. It's really challenging because there's a lot all at once, but I will improve," he concluded.
