Kerr says the worst part of the conflict is the fact that the video got leaked to the public.
"This is why it's so crucial to keep things in-house. I've been in this league for 30+ years, I've seen all kinds of crazy stuff. When things are kept internally, it's almost easy to handle it," Kerr started the topic.
"It's just so much cleaner and smoother to move forward. As soon as things are leaked, all hell breaks loose and that affects every single player, coach, but especially the players. So because of that, because everything is out there, the players are now having to deal with all this stuff, they are having to answer all these questions. It puts us in a very difficult spot, everybody in a difficult spot," he continued.
"It's like if you had a camera in your family and there was a family dispute. Would you really want to discuss it with the world? No, of course not. You'd want to handle it internally. So, that's always the goal," the 57-year-old specialist found an analogy.
Kerr and the entire Warriors franchise need to make sure something like this never happens again.
"In 32 years, I've probably seen 20-plus fist fights in practice," Kerr added. "That should not make it out beyond the walls of our practice facility. And it did, and that's a problem. We have to get better as an organization."
Kerr was also asked how Draymond Green's latest outburst affect his trust.
"No comment," the head coach responded.
Kerr calledGreen's decision to walk away from the Warriors for the next few daysa "mutual decision."
Nine-time NBA champion as a coach and player said there's "no set date" on Green's return: "We will see where it goes."
Draymond issued an apology for his inappropriate actions during the practice. Though, Kerr was not talkative here as well: "It [apology] is nobody's business but ours."
