After meeting in the EuroLeague earlier this week, both Valencia Basket and Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz travelled back to Spain to compete in the Liga Endesa. However, the fate of both teams was similar.

First, Alex Mumbru's team took the stage against Surne Bilbao Basket. Heading into the fourth quarter, Valencia led by 8 (53-45). With half the quarter elapsed, the guests still held a five-point advantage (60-54). Nevertheless, Bilbao ended the game with a 17-5 spurt to capture their third victory in three tries - 71-64 (20-10, 10-24, 15-16, 26-12).

Only Chris Jones scored in double digits in the game, ending the match with 10 points in his account, but making just 4 shots out of 11.

Ludde Hakanson was the top scorer of the match with 13 points and 7 assists. Emir Sulejmanovic added 12 points and 5 rebounds.

This was Valencia's first loss in Liga Endesa after two wins in the first two rounds.

It was Baskonia's turn next. Similarly to Valencia, they met an opponent that hadn't lost yet at that time - Lenovo Tenerife. The story did not change.

Playing at home, Baskonia led by 5 after the first three quarters (64-59). Joan Penarroya's team continued having a slight advantage throughout the majority of the last 10 minutes when Sasu Salin hit a triple to tie the game with two minutes to go (79-79).

Both teams struggled to score during the remaining time. With half a minute to go, Rokas Giedraitis fouled Salin who continued to convert both free throws to put his team up by two (81-79).

Baskonia failed to score in their remaining possessions and gave their opponents their third win in Liga Endesa - 79-85 (15-17, 25-23, 24-19, 15-26).

Sander Raieste led Baskonia with 15 points in his account,Darius Thompson added 14 points and 8 assists. Sasu Salin and Jaime Fernandez led Tenerife with 18 and 19 respectively, together making 8 three-pointers in 14 tries.

Baskonia now have only one win in three games in Liga Endesa.
