EuroLeague changes in the highest positions can be combined with a new commercial agreement for the EuroLeague name.

According to Gazzetta.gr, Emirates Airlines expressed their intention to invest in European basketball. The businessmen offered a multi-year contract for EuroLeague that ranges from €50 million to €60 million per year.

Via the report, Emirates Airlines would want their name to be written next to the organization's title: Emirates Airlines EuroLeague.

Emirates Airlines would replace Turkish Airlines which provides EuroLeague €10 million a year, per Gazzetta.gr.

A such deal would drastically change the map of European basketball and significantly reduce the income gap that separates the EuroLeague and the Champions League.

As earlier reported,Dubai sheikhs are also looking to form a EuroLeague club and proposed an idea to hold the EuroLeague Final Four in the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai for three consecutive years.

13 EuroLeague shareholders will meet a group of businessmen from the Middle East country in Dubai tomorrow. It will be the first live meeting between the two sides.
