The Spanish coach was asked about Enoch's injury and how much time he will miss.
"He will be out some weeks. I wish him a quick recovery. We will need him," pointed out the specialist.
"We will have injuries the whole year. The key is to be involved and committed. There is no need to look for anyone to play the role of the injured player, but it is clear that everyone must take a step forward," he added.
Baskonia will miss the main center of the team for the upcoming games. Are Basques willing to add some new players? Do they have a plan B?
"This question is not for me," Penarroya responded.
Baskonia have been seeking a point guard or a combo guard for more than two months, but they have not signed anyone yet.
"We don't have any new player at this position. The club and I both have the same opinion as two months ago, but this player has not arrived yet. This is the truth," Penarroya stressed.
Regarding the game against Partizan, the 53-year-old specialist analyzed how the Serbian powerhouse likes to play.
"Zeljko's teams are tactically rich. Defensively, they make a lot of switches. The roster is designed just for that.
They play without a classic point guard, but all the perimeter players can handle the ball: Punter, Nunnally, Exum, and Andjusic. Then Papapetrou is playing near the rim. That marks a little bit the style of Partizan."
Baskonia are set to begin their 5-game marathon in the following 9 days this Friday.
"We must be ready for this. The competition starts now. All EuroLeague teams are athletically powerful. The special physicality level delivers the competition an extraordinary level. And we are not going to give it up," Baskonia's head coach confessed.
Joan Penarroya concluded the press conference by giving credit to their players.
"I am not worried about the two losses in the ACB League. I trust this team," he finished.
