However, Sergio Llull missed the last shot from deep.
Sarunas Jasikevicius appeared in the press conference after the game smiling and making jokes about the cold room.
"I want to congratulate our players and fans, especially the fans for creating a great atmosphere tonight," began the Lithuanian head coach.
"I'm sure the players felt it. We played our best basketball of the season for the first 30 minutes," he added.
Jasikevicius admitted his team took a step forward in El Clasico.
"This win is very important for everyone, but for me, the best thing is that we have improved. We were very solid and followed the game plan."
Although he was happy with the three-quarters of the game, the 46-year-old coach had something to say about the last tally, where Barca almost blew a substantial 17-point advantage.
"This is a learning experience for us. We will talk about it. I'd say it has been a mix of things. Fatigue, for sure, but also mistakes that you can't make at games like this.
Instead of killing the game, we were looking at the clock, and that's the worst thing you can do in big games," Jasikevicius explained.
Saras insisted on this game aspect, something he was used to saying last season.
"We should have killed them earlier. If you don't kill the opponent, they will bounce back eventually. And that's exactly what happened. It's still a lot to learn: how good we can play like that and how bad we can be if we lose concentration," Jasikevicius concluded.
