The Charlotte Hornets are signing French guard Theo Maledon on a two-way NBA contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

He had a brief training camp stint with the Houston Rockets before penning a deal in Charlotte.

Maledon was part of the massive eight-player trade between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Rockets this off-season.

The 21-year-old Maledon appeared in 116 regular-season games (56 starts) with the Thunder over the past two seasons, averaging 8.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists on 37.1% from the field.

OKC selected Maledon with the 34th pick in the second round of the 2020 NBA draft.
