According to The Athletic, Russell Westbrook is dealing with left hamstring soreness and is considered day-to-day.

The guard aggravated his hamstring during the last preseason game against the Sacramento Kings Friday night. Lakers head coach Darvin Ham tried getting Westbrook to play off the bench for the first time during the match.

"It's not a demotion, it's a realignment," Ham told.

In his five minutes as a sixth man, Westbrook missed his both shots, grabbed a rebound and dished out 2 assists before exiting the game with the injury.

Last year, the Lakers guard averaged 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.1 assists per game for the team.
