The teams battled back and forth throughout the entire game. However, Xabi Lopez-Arostegui regained the lead for Valencia with just two minutes to go (85-84). Sam van Rossom drained a three-pointer moments later, and the lead increased to four (88-84).

Will Clyburn and Chris Jones exchanged points, and Valencia's lead stood at four with just 36 seconds to go (90-86). However, Clyburn hit one more shot, van Rossom committed a turnover, and Rodrigue Beaubois' triple gave Efes a lead with 15 seconds to go (91-90).

With the game on the line, the ball was in Chris Jones' hands. The guard drew a foul and went to the free-throw line. Jones converted both free throws to push Valencia back on top again (92-91).

Efes turned the ball over during the next possession, and the Spanish team celebrated its first win in the EuroLeague.

Chris Jones ended the game with 15 points on 6-for-14 shooting and 8 assists in his account. Bojan Dubljevic was the leading scorer in Valencia with 20 points and 5 rebounds.

Vasilije Micic's great first half was not enough to take a win for the reigning champions. The Serbian guard scored 22 points, dished out 8 assists, drew 9 fouls, and ended the game with game-leading 32 PIR points.

Valencia hit 16 three-pointers out of 33 for an impressive 48.5% accuracy. The Spanish team also missed only one free throw in 15 attempts. It was the first away win against Efes for Valencia in EuroLeague history.

Valencia's total PIR was lower by 20 points (92 to 112), marking only the sixth time in EuroLeague history that a team with such a final PIR deficit has won the game.

Anadolu Efes: Vasilije Micic 22 (5/7 2PT, 2/8 3PT, 6/6 FT, 8 AST, 32 PIR), Will Clyburn 18 (4/5 2PT, 1/5 3PT, 7/8 FT), Elijah Bryant 10.

Valencia: Bojan Dubljevic 20 (3/7 2PT, 3/6 3PT, 5/5 FT, 5 REB), Chris Jones 15 (5/8 2PT, 1/4 3PT, 8 AST), Victor Claver 12 (4/6 3PT), Sam van Rossom 12 (4/4 3PT).
