Among the topics was the club's budget for the current season, which Tedeschi shared with the readers.
"A professional club like Cedevita Olimpija has an annual budget of five or six million euros," he said. "Our rivals Partizan and Crvena Zvezda have more than ten, Venezia is the wealthiest club in this year's Eurocup [with a budget of] between 12 and 13 million, and the richest European clubs, such as Barcelona, Real, and Anadolu Efes, have more than 30 million euros available every year."
The president revealed that the club's Board of Directors only approves the budget and handles it throughout the year while all coaching decisions and all signings are left to be fulfilled by people in their respective positions.
"We can debate who is better, Josh Adams or Jacob Pullen, but that's at the level of a slightly more informed viewer. We don't touch sports policy, we only deal with the business policy of the club," Tedeschi told. "I also ask the coach now and then how we will play, who will play more and who will play less, but I do it for my own satisfaction because I want to get additional information."
"The coach is responsible for all coaching decisions, and I as the president of the club's board of directors would never take a right to advise him or meddle in things for which I am not responsible and which I do not decide," the businessman explained. "It is absolutely necessary to know who is doing what in every company."
Cedevita will play their Round 2 match against U-BT Cluj-Napoca in Romania today. The match is scheduled to start at 18:30 CET.
