Juan Gomez de Liano becomes the first-ever Filipino player in Europe after the newly established Lithuanian club BC Wolves announced his arrival.
The 22-year-old signed a deal until the end of the 2022-23 season.
"We want to grow our fanbase outside Lithuania," BC Wolves president Rimantas Kaukenas explained in the club's statement. "We hope Juan will help us reach the basketball-loving Philippines market."
After claiming MVP and best point guard honors at the university level, the 1.85-meter guard began his professional career in PBA D-League with Marinero Pilipino.
