Center Myles Turner stepped on a ball boy's foot during warmups and rolled his ankle.
He tweaked the ankle and then went into the tunnel. He came back frustrated and headed straight back to the locker room.
Turner did not play for a single minute against Washington.
"Turner's ankle sprain is not considered serious," Rick Carlisle provided an update, via Scott Agness.
Turner had been 100% healthy in camp and looking forward to returning to game action. His last regular-season game played was on Jan. 14. That was nine months ago.
The Pacers have a home back-to-back Friday and Saturday against the Spurs and Pistons.
