"I think that'd be great," Jasikevicius said on the possibility of Kaunas hosting the Final Four. "The city, arena, and the whole country have been prepared for it for a long time. If we can host the EuroBasket, why we couldn't do the same with Final Four?"
Jasikevicius also addressed the changes in EuroLeague management, where Dejan Bodiroga and Marshall Glickman took over after Jordi Bertomeu.
However, Jasikevicius didn't sound too optimistic about such changes.
"It's not my area to discuss. From what I understand, the [club] executives really wanted and thought that changes are needed. Now we'll wait and see. They are talking about FIBA, but it's meaningless.
However you look at it, the best players won't play in FIBA windows. I don't know why it's needed to talk with FIBA. I don't understand such things. The windows come, and the best players will play in the United States," added Jasikevicius.
After the EuroLeague shareholders' trip to Dubai, there were some talks about possible changes in the EuroLeague format.
But without knowing many details, Jasikevicius didn't want to elaborate on this topic.
"I don't know what the new format looks like. I can't say much because I don't know. How can we discuss it if we don't know anything about it?" concluded Jasikevicius.
