EuroLeague Round 4: Markus Howard exits injured, Vezenkov dominates / News - Basketnews.com

Three undefeated teams play during the second day of EuroLeague Round 4. Meanwhile, two tournament favorites are looking to get back to the winning ways after two losses in a row.

The second day of Round 4 of the EuroLeague comes in on Friday with 8 teams battling in the premier basketball competition in Europe.

In the first match of the evening, Anadolu Efes Istanbul welcomed one of only four undefeated teams so far - ALBA Berlin. In a surprising start of the season, the German team had shown solid form but the undermanned roster ultimately fell to the star-studded Turkish squad.

Next, two teams that suffered defeats in the previous round battled against each other as Panathinaikos Athens hosted AS Monaco. Derrick Williams exploded in the third quarter and bested his previous scoring high in the EuroLeague but it was not enough to overcome Mike James-led Monaco.

The third game of the night featuref two undefeated teams - Cazoo Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz and Olympiacos Piraeus. Markus Howard had been hot lately, making 15 three-pointers in the last two matches, but had to exit the game with 22 seconds left after Moustapha Fall landed on the guard.

Olympiacos captured a tough win to remain undefeated, handing Baskonia their first loss.

Finally, Real Madrid hosted Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade on their journey to get back to the winning road after losing two games in a row. In a low-scoring game, the favorites took the win in Luca Vildoza's debut with the red shirt.
