EuroLeague head coach challenges: Does the rule change work? / News - Basketnews.com

EuroLeague coaches have taken almost half as many challenges already as they did during the entire last season. Sasa Obradovic is the only coach to have taken all 4 challenges.

With the start of the 2022-23 EuroLeague season, the league expanded the use cases of the head coach challenge during the games. The teams have played only four rounds so far but we can already see the difference.

During the first four games of the regular season, the coaches have taken 34 challenges so far. Compared to last year, the number stood at 10 at that same time of the season.

Interestingly, the specialists have used the rule change almost half as many times already as they did the entire last season (71).

AS Monaco's Sasa Obradovic is the only coach to have taken all four of his challenges while there are 4 coaches who have used three.

Meanwhile, FC Bayern's Andrea Trinchieri and Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade's Vladimir Jovanovic haven't used a single challenge in the year's EuroLeague so far.
