In an interview with Sportico's John WallStreet, Glickman said he wants to see EuroLeague becoming more of a show.
"I want to see our matches become more of a show, more fun to watch," Glickman said. "I want to do more promotion through our digital platforms, our social networks, and through our more traditional channels. It plays a role in attracting many people."
Glickman also admitted that most of the best EuroLeague teams play in weaker economic markets. Therefore, he sees plenty of potential in bigger countries.
"We have a league where the strongest basketball markets are in weaker economic markets," Glickman continued. "The greatest business potential is in places that are not considered traditional basketball markets. There is a large open space for growth, particularly in France, Germany, and the greater London area."
Glickman used the United States sports example, which is thriving in London. Because of that, Glickman believes that EuroLeague shouldn't be an exception.
When the NBA goes to London for exhibition games, tickets sell out in two seconds. The NFL operates in London. Major League Baseball also works in London. We believe that a permanent EuroLeague team will eventually have great success there."
