"The idea of a museum was to mark our history," Koc said in the opening ceremony. "It is full of successes and beautiful moments [that should help] future generations to understand the past better. While the names of the past who wore our jersey made history with their success and trophies, they created Fenerbahce's basketball culture."
Koc expressed his gratitude to former head coach Zeljko Obradovic. The Serbian coach brought 1 EuroLeague, 4 Turkish League, 3 Turkish Cup, and 3 Turkish Presidential Cup trophies.
"I would like to emphasize Obradovic, who made us feel proud in the EuroLeague and has his name written in golden letters in our history," said Koc."I am glad that his path crossed with us."
Meanwhile, Onan talked about the importance of such a museum opening.
"We visited many museums during our acting, but of course, these were football museums. A basketball museum is opening for the first time today. This is very meaningful, and we value it very much. Fenerbahce has achieved many firsts," claimed Onan.
