According to the report, Shengelia will play against Real Madrid on Thursday.
Shengelia injured his shoulder on August 24, during the 2023 FIBA World Cup qualifiers in Tbilisi. Due to the shoulder fracture, the Georgian star missed the EuroBasket 2022.
"It hurts my soul more than my shoulder that I won't be able to help the Georgian national team at such an important moment, and I won't be able to stand on the court next to my boys at the right time," Shengelia wrote at the time.
Despite the injury, the 30-year-old signed a new 2-year deal with Virtus, with an option to extend the contract for a further season.
In the previous EuroCup season, Shengelia averaged8.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 12.0 PIR in 8 contests.
Virtus started its season without Shengelia and have a 1-3 record after the first four EuroLeague games. The Italian team is currently in 15th place in the standings.
Real Madrid will host Virtus on Thursday at 20:45 CET.
