The club officially announced that the 34-year-old felt pain in the same calf area that was bothering him and was placed into rehabilitation once again. It is estimated that Bjelica will miss 3-4 weeks of action.

Bjelica injured his calf in a friendly game against Montenegro during the preparation for the EuroBasket 2022.

He last played official games for the national team during FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers. Over two matches against Latvia and Belgium this summer, Bjelica registered 6.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 5.0 EFF.

Although he had a limited role in offense, Bjelicawas vitalfor the Golden State Warriors on the defensive end, playing in 71 regular-season games and averaging 6.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per contest.
