Zalgiris physio Sigitas Kavaliauskas said Giedraitis' return will depend on how the player's body responds.
"Dovydas took part in two practices, but he couldn't do it fully," Kavaliauskas told Zalgiris TV. "At the moment, it's hard to predict [when he could return]. We'll monitor the process, how his leg will react to different loads."
"He should be ready soon, but everything will depend on his reaction to various loads," added Kavaliauskas.
Meanwhile, Zalgiris head coach Kazys Maksvytis hinted that Giedraitis could appear on the court as soon as next week.
"Dovydas joined the practices, but he can't complete the full session yet," Maksvytis said before the Zalgiris trip to Belgrade. "He trains with a small amount of contact. If everything goes well, we might see him on the court next week."
Giedraitis himself added that he's happy with the progress but remains patient about the whole situation.
"I had my first practice that involved contact. I did as much as my ankle allowed. We are not forcing things. We'll see how it will be tomorrow, but I'm getting there," said Giedraitis.
