Predrag Danilovic, the president of the Serbian Basketball Association, sent a direct letter to Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, asking the club to release its players and allow them to compete with the country's jersey in November.
Although Partizan have a match in the EuroLeague that coincides with the national team's clash against Great Britain, all four Serbian players should participate.
"All these years, Partizan strongly supported our national team and made all Serbian players available, and it will be the same this time too, regardless of the fact that we have an important match in the EuroLeague," the club's president Ostoja Mijailovic said.
Serbian national team's head coach Svetislav Pesic will be able to use Balsa Koprivica, Uros Trifunovic, Danilo Andjusic, and Tristan Vukcevic in his roster. Aleksa Avramovic and Alen Smailagic are meanwhile injured.
In Round 7 of the EuroLeague, Partizan play against Olympiacos Piraeus on November 10th. A day later, the Serbian national team battles against Great Britain in Newcastle.
