Virtus Segafredo Bologna delivered a surprise at WiZink Center, taking down Real Madrid, 95-92 (18-24, 23-21, 27-19, 27-28). Virtus had not gone past the 66-point mark in any of their games until this day.

Iffe Lundberg, Semi Ojeleye, and Mam Jaiteh combined for 18 points in the first 5 minutes of the third quarter for Virtus to create a 7-point lead (62-55). Italians maintained their advantage and had plus 4 (68-64) going into the last tally.

If it wouldn't enough, Virtus started the fourth quarter with a massive 14-2 push to lay foundations for the win.

Virtus posted some Magic Moments at the end of the fourth quarter but Real were not ready to give up. The Royal club came within 2 (91-93) after Gabriel Deck's phenomenal plays but Milos Teodosic got the job done, sinking two clutch free throws with 14 seconds on the clock (95-91).

Ismael Bako was the top performer for Virtus, finishing the game with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 22 PIR.

Virtus: Ismael Bako 16, Milos Teodosic 14, Isaia Cordinier 12, Mam Jaiteh 12.

Real: Gabriel Deck 28 (6 REB, 34 PIR), Mario Hezonja 18, Dzanan Musa 13, Walter Tavares 13 (10 REB).
