Following the incident, the EuroLeague released an official statement:
During the game between Real Madrid and Virtus Segafredo Bologna of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season Round 5, with 6:59 minutes remaining on the game clock of the fourth quarter, Dzanan Musa of Real Madrid committed a turnover resulting in Virtus ball possession.
The USC (Unified Scorers Crew) wrongly introduced a free throw conversion of Dzanan Musa, instead of the turnover committed. The situation was not corrected during the game leading to a wrong final score of the game 92-95.
The correct final score of the game is 91-95 and all game and individual statistics have already been corrected on Euroleague Basketball official platforms.
Consequently, the game's statistics have been corrected on the BasketNews website as well.
After the match, both clubs have the same win-loss percentage of 2 wins and 3 losses.
