When he was asked what changed compared to last season when the team got to the playoffs, the Italian specialist did not want to look back.
"That's history for me. New team, new season, new chemistry. I wouldn't be good at my job if I looked back," the coach told. "When you play in the quarterfinals of the playoffs, there's eight months of work behind it. Now we're at the very start of the season. No, I can't compare anything to last season."
"It's not pleasant for sure. We have the next game, we'll be better. I'm not worried at all. It's still October. I remember that Zalgiris entered the playoffs after starting the season with 1-10," Trinchieri explained. "Today our shooters didn't hit and that's it. Let's move on."
Bayern lost the rebounding battle 33 to 45, and shot beyond the arc at just 22.6%.
After Round 5, Bayern are the only team without any wins so far. Next week, the German team welcomes the reigning EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes Istanbul, who lost in the Turkish derby today.
"Drink rakija for me or wine if you know which one is good," Trinchieri concluded.
