BasketNews made a deep analysis of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague rosters, looking at the represented nationalities of 292 total players.

Important notes:

As per official data, some injured players are not yet registered, such as Anthony Randolph or Awudu Abass. However, these players are added to the analysis based on provision rosters data. A naturalized player is not considered a local player, so for example, Shane Larkin is regarded as American, and Nikola Mirotic – Montenegrin. Via the official FIBA data, Ignas Brazdeikis is considered a naturalized player and hence is Canadian in the analysis. However, it's important to notice that the nationality of some players can be interpreted slightly differently. Israel and Turkey are considered European countries, as they participate in FIBA EuroBasket, and their clubs participate in various European competitions.

According to Darius Garuolis' data, players from 39 countries and five continents are playing in the EuroLeague this season.

The United States is the most-represented country in the top European club competition: 81 players out of 292 athletes.

The leading basketball country is followed by Serbia and France, with 24 players apiece. Spain (20 players) and Germany (20 players) end the Top 5 list.

Greece (16), Lithuania (16), Italy (15), and Turkey (12) all have more than 10 EuroLeague players. The rest of the countries do not have more than eight players.

There is a total of 103 non-European players on rosters.
