Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving has made headlines recently with his tweets promoting a movie that is considered to be antisemitic. The player later defended his actions both before the game on Saturday night and after it.

After the matter became widespread, former Nets executive of digital media Jordan Rabinowitz came out on Twitter, sharing his view about the situation.

"I am very, very glad it is not my job to promote and market this person anymore. I would not have the stomach for it," he tweeted.

Rabinowitz worked for the Nets' social media department for more than three years first as a social media coordinator, then as a manager of digital media.

BSE Global is a parent company of the Brooklyn Nets and the Barclays Center, the arena the team plays in. Rabinowitz later appealed to the organization to review its standards.

"There is a significant amount of Jewish employees at BSE, represented at all levels of the company. I hope Joe Tsai and Sean Marks do right by them and re-examine what it's really worth to have this individual on their team."

Rabinowitz is of Jewish descent. In a tweet that followed, he revealed that Kyrie Irving's so-called army came to defend the player, directly replying to Rabinowitz and claiming that the guard's statements promoting the antisemitic movie were correct.

The NBA has released a statement without directly mentioning Irving but stating that hate speech of any kind is unacceptable and that the league will continue working to ensure that every member understands the impact of their words and actions.
