The atmosphere was explosive at the OAKA arena tonight, as Panathinaikos host Partizan for EuroLeague Round 6. But the situation got out control in the fourth quarter.

With 3:13 remaining in the game clock, Kevin Punter hit a three-point shot that made it 88-78 for the Serbian side. Panathinaikos fans, who were sitting courtside, kicked some banners that entered the court, and then all hell broke loose.

Objects were thrown by PAO's ultras, and also by those sitting behind Partizan's bench. The game was interrupted for almost 10 minutes before it finally resumed.

Home fans are extremely irritated by their team's poor 1-4 start in the EuroLeague, and despite the fact that the arena's MC repeatedly asked them to stop using lasers, they continued to do so.

The play that ignited the passion was Dwayne Bacon not getting a foul on a dunk attempt against Dante Exum before Punter hit the crucial dagger.

PAO's bench protested the no-call and Dejan Radonjic received a technical foul that led Danilo Andjusic to the free-throw line.

At that point, some thought that Radonjic would ask a coach's challenge, but the rules don't allow for a challenge to be made in cases no foul has been whistled.
