Last night, Nikola Jokic scored 15 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and dished out 14 assists against the Oklahoma City Thunder. It seems like a regular night for the Joker. However, this particular game was special.

It was the 79th triple-double in Jokic's career. With this number, the Serbian star passed the legendary Wilt Chamberlain for the most triple-doubles for a center in NBA history.

With 8 games played in the 2022-23 NBA season, last night's triple-double was already the fourth for Jokic this year. So far, the Joker is averaging 21 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game, all three measures in the Top 10 of the league.

The Denver Nuggets center is currently sixth on the all-time triple-doubles list in NBA history. Only five players in NBA history were able to surpass 100 triple-doubles, and Jokic could be the first center to achieve such a feat.

Russell Westbrook (194 triple-doubles) currently leads the list, with Oscar Robertson (181), Magic Johnson (138), Jason Kidd (107), and LeBron James (105) trailing him. Nikola Jokic had 19 triple-doubles in the 2021-22 season.
