Dwight Howard will play for Taoyuan Leopards from Taiwan's T1 League.

Dwight Howard will continue his career in Taiwan after announcing it on his Instagram.

Long-time NBA veteran and former NBA Draft no. 1 pick will sign for Taoyuan Leopards, playing in Taiwan's T1 League.

"I am so so excited, and I can't wait to touch down in Taiwan and start playing," Howard said as part of asocial media post by the team.

"I'm coming with open arms, with big hugs and big smiles."

In October, Howard revealed that he feels like he still deserves to be in the NBA, but teams are not giving him a chance.

"I want to play, but at the same [time], there's like no teams that really want to allow me to play," Howard said to Matt Barnes. "That's how I've been feeling from the last situation with the Lakers.

Howard, who turns 37 next month, was a free agent after spending last season with theLos Angeles Lakers, averaging 6.2 points and 5.9 rebounds in 16.2 minutes per game.

He has career averages of 15.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks.

Howard spent 18 seasons in the NBA, playing for the Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets, Charlotte Hornets, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, and Philadelphia 76ers.
