French Basketball Federation (FFBB) announced the roster which will face Lithuania in the 2023 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers game on Friday. It includes the 18-year-old Wembanyama.
Andrew Albicy is the only player that played for France in EuroBasket 2022. The roster also includes such players as Paul Lacome and Axel Toupane.
On Friday, Wembanyama played his best game of the season, accumulating 33 points (7/9 2PT, 3/8 3PT, 10/12 FT), 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, and 41 efficiency ranking in 35 minutes in Metropolitans 92 win against Limoges.
In 7 French league games, Wembanyama averages 21.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.7 rebounds, and 24.9 EFF.
