Doncic finished the game with 24 points (7/18 2PT, 2/11 3PT, 4/7 FT), 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.
The Slovenian superstar reacted to the loss by admitting that the Mavs might regret this loss in the long run.
"We got to play better as a team, especially against those kind of teams," Doncic said. "We always say it before a game, but then we don't do it. It's a game that later we're going to regret. They were good defensively today, but we've got to be way better."
Despite the snapped 30-point streak, Doncic managed to reach another NBA icon, Oscar Robertson.
Doncic (348 points, 82 rebounds, 81 assists) is now the 2nd player in NBA history to record 325+ points, 75+ rebounds, and 75+ assists through their first 10 games of a season, joining Robertson (1962-63 season): 326 points, 93 rebounds, 95 assists.
Yet, Doncic admitted that he was far away from his best.
"I played terribly today," Doncic said, "but I think as a group we didn't play good, so we've got to approach the game differently with the same motivation as if we were playing against, I don't know, Milwaukee. So we've got to approach the game way better than this."
Doncic averages 34.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 8.1 assists this season.
