According to NBA journalist Marc Stein, the 2.03-meter forward is going to join the San Antonio Spurs G-League affiliate Austin Spurs.

Following an 8-year career in the NBA mostly with the Denver Nuggets, Faried has since played in China twice before becoming a member of CSKA Moscow in the EuroLeague last season. He was cut by the club after not finding his place in the Dimitris Itoudis rotation.

Faried then signed with the Grand Rapids Gold in the G-League. In 12 games there, the forward averaged 10.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1 assist per game before getting waived in March of this year.

Known as the Manimal, Faried is a 2014 FIBA World Cup gold medalist and was named to the All-Tournament team.
